Lately, I’ve been designing and implementing landing pages for a few clients, so I thought I’d share some basics and best practices about those with you.

A landing page (also called a splash page, a sales page, etc.) is just a one-page, super simple portal to get your viewer to take action. It’s usually part of a greater marketing or sales funnel, such as social media ads leading people to the funnel, a follow-up email or outreach campaign, etc.

In the “real world,” that action is usually such as clicking to buy something or sign up for a service.

But in the world of financial planning, you’ll probably want the Call to Action to be something like booking a discover call, complimentary consultation, or register for a webinar with you.

No matter what offer you’re pitching, the fundamentals and process of the landing page is the same. Remember that a landing page needs to be part of a system that includes great social media ads and follow-up campaigns.
